A Dubai office, not a Dubai phone number

Veltracon Lifestyle FZCO is registered at IFZA Dubai, Building A2 Unit No 101. It is one of four legal entities in the group, alongside Veltracon Lifestyle AG in Zug, Veltracon Lifestyle GmbH in Düsseldorf and Veltracon Lifestyle Limited in Hong Kong.

The practical consequence of four offices in three time zones is simple: a request made while one office sleeps is already being worked in another. For clients moving between the Gulf and Europe that is the whole point.

Between the Gulf and Switzerland

A good deal of the Dubai office's work is not in Dubai at all: it is arranging Europe for people based in the Gulf - medical appointments in Switzerland, schooling, property, and the travel that connects them. Having the Zug office at the other end of that line is what makes it one mandate instead of several.

What the Dubai office covers, and what it does not

Luxury concierge in Dubai means, for us, the same nine concierge services as everywhere else, weighted for the Gulf: private aviation in and out of the Emirates, yacht charter and villas, restaurant and event access, the sourcing of cars, watches and rare objects, personal protection, and the arrangement of Europe for people who live here. A VIP concierge in the narrower sense, access to what is sold out or closed, is part of it; the sourcing, the security and the coordination of Switzerland are what the Dubai office adds.

What it does not do: it does not sell memberships, it does not publish a rate card, and it does not practise medicine. Medical questions during a stay in the Emirates go to the group's standby service, Shadow ICU in Dubai; treatment in Switzerland is arranged with Veltracon Medical. We coordinate, hold the appointment and build the travel around it.

How a mandate runs from Dubai

• The brief. By telephone, email or WhatsApp, in English, German or French: what you need, where, by when, and for whom.
• The assessment. You hear straight away whether it can be done and what it depends on, including the slots, permits and lead times a request in the Gulf can turn on.
• The terms. Scope and fee in writing before anything is committed, whether the mandate is a single flight or a season.
• The work. One partner holds the mandate. For anything in Switzerland, the Zug office is the other end of the same file, not a referral.
• The handover. What was agreed, with the paperwork, and the file stays open when a stay in Europe has a next step: a follow-up appointment, a school visit, a property viewing.

Residents of the Gulf who arrange Europe from home: medical appointments in Switzerland, schools, property, a season in the Alps. Visitors who want the same standard while they are in Dubai. Companies with people in the region, served through a corporate concierge mandate. How the work is charged

There are three ways this industry charges: by annual membership, by retainer for a defined scope, or by fee per mandate. The Dubai office, like the rest of the group, sells no membership and works from no rate card: the price is set for the mandate in front of us and put in writing before anything is committed, whether it is a single flight out of the Emirates or a year of arranging Europe from the Gulf.
